[The Industrialist]

I believe that our relationship with everyday objects has changed immensely since the industrial revolution. We have gone from making unique, artisanal pieces to reproducing massive quantities of objects, of multiples. Having lost their uniqueness, objects produced in series tend to attract less interest and have less value, at least in our eyes.

However, if we decontextualize them and look at them more attentively, they can have great narrative power.
They can tell us about worlds, some of which are new or unexplored.

Here, I have investigated their oneiric aspect or, as Magritte would say, I have evoked their mystery.
